And when she sings the bar folk grieve

And call for rounds of whiskey

She navigates through offered drinks
Once she’s sung her final song
“Ain’t one worth nothin’” so she thinks
But orders them “pour on.”

Her current flame almost burnt out
But right there at her shoulder
Above the rest he’s most devout
To gain a chance to hold her
